aaaaaaaand we’re back. So, my attempt at making daily posts totally flopped. Although I am happy I made it all the way to April, the trade-off of “quality” for quantity just wasn’t worth it. I did learn some tricks, and it was worth trying. I think in the end though, I’m better off aiming for a weekly strip.
And what better way to get back into things than with a visit to our old pals at Catch. Look, this one’s stuck in an infinite loop!

Well, now I’ve done it. What started out as a simple layout overhaul has turned into something a little crazier. So, you know, pardon my dust. Things should be in order within a day or two.

We’re calling this “hobo-scrag.” You know, growing beards never bugs me except in Spring. I can comfortably wear a beard in the middle of Summer, but for some reason having a face sweater in April/May feels wrong.
Speaking of wrong, Renee and I started season 5 of Lost last night. It was a pretty disappointing one, in my opinion. I don’t know if it’s getting worse or if my tolerance for it has dropped, but the constant barrage of here’s-a-mystery-but-no-answer is driving me crazy. I feel like it’s gotten worse as the show’s become more popular, like they thought the part of the show people really love is being confused so let’s start doing that in like every scene.

UPDATE April, 12: Sorry, no update today. I spent my weekend working on a comic idea that turned out to be too large for Mouse’s layout. Looks like I’ll need to get my site redesign on before you can see the awesomes. Sorry! On a lighter note, you can look forward to a new site layout sooner than later!

Tonight is the premiere of Cartoon Network’s new show Adventure Time. Ima and I have been watching this teaser trailer twice every morning before school for the past couple of weeks. Her favorite part is when he asks Jake if he wants his booties. My favorite part is the end when he’s embarrassed and chuckling as he leaves, “ho ho ay, see ya later.” Check it on out:

Donald E. Williams rounds out this space-travelling dream cast as STS-34′s mission commander. This was the captain’s second space flight.
A few interesting details about this seemingly routine Atlantis mission: the crew travelled a total distance of two million miles. That’s approximately 79 orbits around Earth, and almost five days. The emergency landing site, in case of mission abortion, was at Zaragoza Air Base in Spain.
The space shuttle program had a long run and it’s easy to lose perspective on just how monumental the astronauts’ achievements really are. Thanks to the heroic efforts of Donald Williams, Michael McCulley, Franklin Chang-Diaz, Shannon Lucid, and Ellen Baker the space craft Galileo successfully launched and was able to study Jupiter and its moons for eight years, retrieving immeasurably valuable data. Maybe I’ll make an animation of its space exploits next.
