So I read Hunger Games, and liked them all more than I was expecting to. Except for the final quarter of the last book which I won’t spoil here. All I want to say is I hate how this series ended and I feel like the whole story was wasted. Suzanne Collins should go back to “the explosion” and rewrite that shit to have some actual meaning instead of just throwing everything away. That world isn’t fair, it doesn’t have happy endings, I get it, but that’s what Katniss had been fighting for the whole fucking time. That’s what I’d been rooting for, and getting the opposite felt wrong. Sorry, I guess I lied about not spoiling the ending. You’re welcome.

A long, long time ago, a friend commissioned a piece of art depicting him and me having an epic battle in the form of unicorns. He also requested that my sister be present, as an outside observer. This was the result.
Cut to now, a good 6 or 7 years later, and the need for unicorn battle has again arisen.

Laura Kinney, depending on the universe I guess, is Wolverine’s clone. Wolverine was cloned in an attempt to duplicate the results of the Weapon X Project (because that’s ever a good idea), but due to science fiction they couldn’t make it work with a Y chromosome so boom, we get X-23, a female Wolverine.
I’ve never seen it play out, but I like to think that because they’re genetic duplicates, Wolverine and X-23 have a hard time detecting each other with their superhuman senses… not that he’d need them to see the blue and gold clad woman clinging to the ceiling above his freaking dining room table. Open your damn eyes, Logan!

If Bryan Singer can rape the X-Men, I think I’m allowed to make Jubilee’s weird blind-person glasses into aviators. Seriously though, I hate Bryan Singer.

Also, here’s the rough draft for this illustration. I frequently like my rough sketches more than the final product. I don’t know if that speaks to my tastes for rough sketches or my abilities at finishing work.

I dropped in to Dumm for my weekly lol and was presented with the news that on December 7th, Ricky decided to take his own life. Luckily there are pretty much no details to be found on the internet, but the general consensus seems to be suicide. He was my favorite webcomicist and a big inspiration. He did story-boarding work for a lot of big shows including Family Guy. He was funny and ironic and apparently extremely depressed. He was 35.
